Deborah M. Westerberg, 65, of Eau Claire passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire.
Debbie was born on December 24, 1951 to Robert and Dolores (Krogman) Molitor in Eau Claire. She attended and graduated from Memorial High School. Debbie married David E. Westerberg on December 14, 1974 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She worked as a Dental Lab Technician in the Eau Claire area before retiring to raise her daughter and care for her family. Debbie volunteered at Luther Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital, and for Special Olympics, RCU, and at the St. Jude’s Telethon. She enjoyed spending time in the sun, this is where she found peace. Debbie loved shopping, especially finding a good deal with coupons. She had a love for animals and had many treasured pets over the years. Debbie also loved to travel with her family. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Madison Marie and Bode Allen Baker and she loved spending time with them and her daughter above all else.
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Sara (Ben) Baker of Hawkins, WI; grandchildren, Madison and Bode Baker; Cliff and Jill Baker and Greg and Carmen Peterson and family; and nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David E. Westerberg; infant son, Jammie Westerberg and brother, Michael Molitor.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jody Becker officiating. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the services at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery.
