Rose Ann Hulbert, age 88, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Spring Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Spring Valley, WI.
She was born to Hans and Minnie (Dahl) Andresen on Aug. 23, 1928, in Hertel, WI. She married Charles Hulbert and they settled in Rochester, MN, where they raised four sons. Later in her life she moved to Menomonie, WI, and then to Spring Valley, WI.
Rose enjoyed traveling, “treasure hunting” and setting up her own flea market stands in Arizona, Wisconsin and Minnesota. She also enjoyed her flower garden, playing bingo, old time country music, and dancing. She loved her favorite pet dogs from the past, Bozo and Juno.
Rose is survived by her four sons, James (Amy Winsand) of Spring Valley, WI, and Ken, Tom and Terry, all of Minnesota; sisters, Agnes (Lee) Nelson and Anna Rivers; and many nieces and nephews. She had a special place in her heart for grandson Ethan Hulbert now living in Los Angeles, as well as other grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents; sisters, Marie Nelson, Christina Andresen, and Betty Wagner; brothers, Hans, John, Louie, Frank and Martin.
The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice, the Spring Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center and The Neighbors of Dunn County for providing excellent care during Rose’s time of need.
Per Rose’s request no formal services are being planned. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
