Danny Joseph Blechinger, age 56, of Eau Claire, gently passed away in his home surrounded by his family and loved ones on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017.
He was incredibly well-loved, known for his easygoing attitude and fierce loyalty to friends and family. He was the kind of man who would show up for you when you needed him, and didn’t think twice about it. Those who knew him well will remember him for his adventurous spirit. Whether it was fishing with friends, camping, hunting deer on family land, driving four-wheelers through the mud, or letting it fly on his motorcycle driving cross country with his family to Sturgis or out West, Danny lived his time with us to the fullest. He worked hard, played hard, and was well-loved for it.
Danny is survived by his love Cyndi Piel, daughters Heather (David) and Thais Blechinger (Kodi), brother Wayne (Janet) Blechinger, nephews Derek and Brian (Tammy) Blechinger, his beautiful granddaughter Sevea, grandmother Evelyn Hauck, stepfather Jim Emerson, uncle Jerry (Jan) Hauck and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and longtime friends including Bob (Pat), Tony (Cathy), Paul (Shelly), and Jason (Lynnel). He will be incredibly missed by those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mavis, and grandparents Matthew (Myrtle) Blechinger and Joseph Hauck.
A service in celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 20th at 12 p.m. at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel (535 S Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona, 715-832-3428). Family will receive friends for visitation from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Food will be provided after the service in the chapel area.
