NEW POSTS: The following physicians recently joined Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire:

• Dr. Namrata Mehta has joined the family medicine department.

Mehta completed medical school at State University of New York Upstate Medical University College of Medicine in Syracuse. She has 14 years of experience in family medicine.

Mehta is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

• Dr. Rahul Sehgal has joined the rheumatology department.

Sehgal earned his medical degree at the University College of Medical Sciences in India. He completed his internal medicine residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, N.Y., and a rheumatology fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, N.Y.

He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the American College of Physicians.

DENTAL DIRECTOR: Dentist Sean Tarpenning has accepted the volunteer position of dental director of the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic.

Tarpenning is the first to hold the newly created position since the clinic began offering basic dental services at its Tuesday clinics earlier this year.

Tarpenning graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2000 and has been practicing in Eau Claire for the past 17 years.

CONTINUING EDUCATION: Two HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital colleagues recently earned master’s degrees in nursing from Saint Xavier University in Chicago.

• Loren Lortscher, director of clinical programs for nursing administration, and formerly director of surgical services, has served Sacred Heart Hospital for more than nine years.

• Stacey Powell, director of surgical services, and formerly clinical educator and assistant director of surgical services, has served the hospital for more than 13 years.
