In the process, she gathered as much information on these periods as she could. Her goal: To make the furnishings and the information available to Chippewa Valley residents and beyond.

Western Dairyland Community Action Agency - Eau Claire, WI

Small business owners, entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners are invited to attend Business Recordkeeping 101 on Thursday, August 10th. The class will run from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Western Dairyland Community Action Agency, 418 Wisconsin Street, Eau Claire. Tuition is $29 and class materials are included. Scholarships are available for income-eligible individuals. Good recordkeeping is a critical tool for every business, and an organized system can save time and effort at tax time. Tammy McCartney, owner of Beyond Bookkeeping LLC, will teach a hands-on class where participants will learn how to set up an effective small business office filing system, how to set up an effective cash-based recordkeeping system, how to record business income and expenses, and how to create a profit and loss statement that will generate the information needed to complete a Schedule C. Tammy McCartney is the founder of Beyond Bookkeeping, LLC, an accounting and consulting services company that helps small business owners maintain current, organized and detailed financial records so they are ready to make important money decisions. She prefers a financial team approach when working with entrepreneurs. Tammy's has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Lakeland College, and has a QuickBooks Proadvisor certification.

The class is hands-on using QuickBooks 2016 Premier and allows time for students to practice what they have learned. No prior experience with QuickBooks is necessary for this class, but attendees should have basic computer skills.Tuition is $99. Scholarships are available for income-eligible individuals. Laptops will be provided for use during the class. However, space is limited to 20 participants.
